The objective of shock mitigation is to improve the overall approach to crew safety and the operational performance of boats and equipment.
Shock Mitigation & Operations
Every military and professional organisation has different ways to launch and recover their craft. The shared objective is reaching their destination as efficiently as possible.
At their destination every task will require a different set of trained skills specific to that organisation. A shock mitigation strategy does not affect these operations.
Identifying Common Problems
Although speeds and conditions may vary the physical challenges of open sea transits are similar for all boat operators.
Operators need to decide what level of sea impacts and vibration are acceptable and identify factors that amplify the problem on their craft - then look for solutions!!
Solutions & Improvements
We believe that Shock Mitigation can reduce injury and improve performance on any craft by specialist crew training and improvements to existing equipment.
A range of specialist shock mitigation equipment is essential for professional operators of RIBs and High Speed Craft affected by legislation such as the EU Vibration Directive.
Objectives For The Marine Employer
Increase crew and passenger comfort at sea
Maximise crew performance and protection at sea
Reduce risk of WBV (Whole Body Vibration) / Repeated Shock (RS) Injury & Litigation
